This has opened the door to new fresh opportunities in Wilmington.

The Port of Morehead City is flexing its breakbulk muscles. Wind turbine blades for Vestas, a global leader in sustainable energy solutions, have been moving through our general cargo terminal since mid-March. These blades will unlock additional onshore wind energy in the United States, paving the way for a more sustainable tomorrow.

Probably the only way the ports were approved for grants and budget increases. Roy Cooper approved right here 🗑️
Wind farms are wonderful and a grat way to harvest energy safely. There is alot less "damage" as others have been screaming by putting one pole in the seabed verses the full ground drilling and strip mining for fossil fuels and such.
The most unsustainable energy solution used. Do some research please. Start with how much oil it takes to lubricate these massive turbines whether offshore or onshore, how often it needs to be changed, how often they fail spilling that oil, how often the blades need to be replaced, what happens to them after, and how many times to multiply that by to make enough power to matter. That’s not accounting for the fuel it takes to do maintenance, discard waste, ship the parts, and so forth. If you still think it’s sustainable after that, then I guess you’ve been properly washed.
How about instead of bitching y’all find a solution then world full of people with a problem an no solution 🤦🏼
