NORTH CAROLINA’S FOREIGN TRADE ZONES

In North Carolina, shippers have the convenience of six FTZs.  Click here for more information about foreign trade zones.  These zones include three that are especially beneficial to international businesses—the Port of Wilmington, the Port of Morehead City, and the NC Global TransPark in Kinston.

All three of these FTZs are equipped and located to efficiently handle cargo moving inside and outside of the U.S.  More importantly, these three FTZs reduce your costs significantly by eliminating and reducing duties and expediting shipments because you avoid going through U.S. Customs.  As a result, the global marketplace becomes a more even playing field and you gain a competitive advantage against foreign business.
