Piedmont Triad Inland Terminal

The Piedmont Triad Inland Terminal (PTIT) is located in Greensboro, NC, approximately 185 miles northwest of the Port of Wilmington. Strategically located at the heart of manufacturing and distribution sites in the Southeast, PTIT serves the I-40 and I-85 corridors. The PTIT is the NC State Ports Authority’s second intermodal terminal connecting the industrial regions in the western portion of the state with direct, economical port access. The PTIT and the Charlotte Inland Terminal (CIT), a similar inland cargo container storage and staging facility located 200 miles west of the port, act as inland consolidation points for import and export cargo.

High volume container traffic makes substantially lower inland transportation rates available to shippers moving cargo by truck or rail between the terminals and the port. The PTIT is located at 505 Chimney Rock Road, just off Interstate 40 and less than 10 miles from the Piedmont Triad International Airport.

PTIT is 13 total acres, graveled and fenced with outside lighting.

The following are available for lease:

  • 4.9 acre truck terminal or lay-down area
  • 3,75- sq. ft. office for single or multi-tenant users
