The Charlotte Inland Terminal, a C-TPAT Certified location, is strategically located at the heart of manufacturing and distribution sites in the Southeast, serving the I-85 and I-77 distribution corridors. CIT provides professional, neutral container yard operations to container carriers, and serves as a staging area for empty and loaded containers. The terminal is bonded by U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Grounding and mounting service is available for loaded and empty containers. Users of the CIT can also benefit from the convenience of container and chassis maintenance and repair operations, available on site from a third-party vendor. Real-time data management is provided through the Port of Wilmington’s Terminal Operating System.
Sprint container service via truck is available between the Port of Wilmington, Charlotte and points west and north. This “matchback” service is available only to customers of steamship lines with regular advertised service at the Port of Wilmington.
Operating Hours: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday
(closed for lunch noon - 1 p.m.)
