N.C. State Ports Authority announces changes in sales management
Increased focus for expansion of liner sales
WILMINGTON, NC – N.C. State Ports Authority CEO Thomas J. Eagar announces changes in the Ports Authority’s Business and Economic Development team which will expand focus on liner services for the North Carolina Ports. Accordingly, Mr. Eagar extends his gratitude to the Authority’s former director of container logistics, Sarah Gaillard, for her 19 years of service to the organization in various management roles in liner sales and services. Ms. Gaillard has accepted a position with the S.C. State Ports Authority. “The N.C. State Ports Authority offers the global liner trade an unbeatable combination of lower costs and superior services at our expanded container terminal at the Port of Wilmington,” Mr. Eagar said. “In addition our high velocity container terminal, carriers can take advantage of the excellent highway infrastructure from Wilmington to the high volume I-85 and I-95 strategic cargo distribution corridors via the I-140, I-74 and I-73.”

Primary exports are phosphate, forest products, woodpulp, general merchandise, food products, wood chips and military.
Top imports are sulfur products, chemicals, grains, rubber, scrap metal, cement, metal products, machinery parts, ore, mica and schist.
